Americans in Paris

Well, we've been terribly remiss in updating the blog. This was brought to my attention when Dominick came home as said "Hey - what's up with the blog - it hasn't been updated!". So here is some updated information, including our trip to Paris - which seems just as good a place to start as any. Paris was phenomenal. Photos can't even begin to capture the beauty and history of the city and its wonderful people. It most definitely is one of the most romantic places I've been - the bottle of wine a day went a long way in setting the mood! Dominick and I had a long checklist - only about half of which we got to - but we most enjoyed the long walks, sidewalk cafe chats, and ham and cheese sandwich lunches. It's amazing how in between paying the mortgage and picking out window treatments, you can forget to simply touch base with one another. For some, Paris provides the perfect setting to fall in love - for Dominick and I, it was the perfect setting to rediscover all of the reasons that we are in love. It was a whirlwind tour with all of the hustle and bustle of visiting a city, but when we got home it all made sense. We'll always have Paris...

Saint Chappelle...the most beautiful church I've ever seen. Stained glass beats Notre Dame hands down.

Dom at the Louvre
Goofing off at the Louvre - a security guard caught on to me shortly after this.
Vintage Tour Eiffel
The conciergie prison, where Marie Antoinette and prisoners of the Revolution were held.
The "Phantom of the Opera" opera house. SO gorgeous!

Mmmmm...jambon e fromage
View from the towers of Notre Dame

The gardens of Versailles...Dominick's mecca.
