When You've Only Got 100 Years to Live

Our 100th posting!
In this post you will find all of the reasons that we began this blog almost two years ago: to share family, friendship, love, and the joy of life.
The monotony of the winter months has set in, and we eagerly wait for the first signs of a lasting spring. Dominick has some really interesting projects upcoming, and even more exciting things on the horizon. I, on the other hand, have begun graduate work. (Please try to feign a lack of complete shock). Even I am surprised at home much I'm enjoying the experience (though homework can be just as dreadful as an adult I'm afraid). I find myself longing for the scholarly existence and singular focus that the full-time graduate students enjoy, but I also absolutely love my job and couldn't give it up. So onward into Educational Philosophy I journey....it should be an interesting ride.

With all of this studying and working, we still manage to find time to head over to Kenyon's Cove for some much-needed unwinding.
If Wii had an Olympic Bowling team, Lisa and Dom could totally...ummm....travel with them.
And if Metallica had an air guitarist, Mike and Lisa could....oh, nevermind.
So we decided that video games have absolutely no bearing on real-life skill, but they have their time and place...especially alongside draft beer!

Then, on a brisk day in early February, we celebrated Uncle Jacks' 80th Birthday.
Uncle Jack is the patriarch of our family and so much more. It was such an honor to mark this momentous occassion with him, and to celebrate his life. Getting together with the Himmelbergers is like getting a free ride to a comedy show, massage and 4 star restaurant all rolled into one. Nancy and Jim make you feel immediately at home and feed you amazing Italian fare; Aunt Maria, Uncle Mike and Bobby will make your cheeks hurt from laughing so much, and Uncle Jack and Audrey make you feel so loved.

We enjoy hours of laughter, good food and great stories that leave you feeling refreshed and so blessed. Rarely, in this world, do you have the opportunity to be in the company of people who appreciate and love you, as you do them.

At the same time, it is in these moments that we most miss Mom and Dad Stanzione, Mario, Katie and Adriana and wish we could all be together for these occassions.

Surprise!

Then it was on to my girlfriend Amy's bridal shower!

It was a beautifully crisp day in Princeton, full of anticipation for the next few months' events.
Amy and Bo received some great loot to jumpstart their married life together, and we are all so happy to share in their love.

I hope to be less neglectful in posting, and less neglectful in keeping in touch with friends and loved ones. Our thoughts and love are with everyone...even if we're terrible at keeping in touch!
