Live Your Life With Arms Wide Open

It's been a while since we last posted and there's been so much going on. So the next few posts will cover a few highlights - conspicuously missing will be any and all mention of Rutgers football...I'm still in a proverbial corner licking my wounds.

A few weeks ago a friend of ours lived a dream of his, which was to have won of his favorite recording artists, Graham Parker, give a concert at his house. Graham Parker was in a band called Rumour in the 70s and they had quite a bit of success, including accolades from Rolling Stone. They were very popular when Ed was in college (at RU) and courting his wife. Graham holds a special place in Ed's heart, memory, and CD player - so when he ran into him at a political fundraiser, he couldn't resist asking for a backyard concert.

As with all things in life, Ed managed to persuade Graham to do exactly what he wanted (Ed is a wonderful friend, but an even better litigator). So there we sat, enjoying the music, friends and fun. Though we couldn't stay long (I wasn't feeling well), it was a wonderful and surreal evening.

It was definitely not a "normal" Saturday outing for us, but that is what life is all about! Thought it would be fun to share in the case that anyone reading is a Graham fan...
