A Jolly, Jolly Holiday With You

Deep breath and....let's begin!

The story must always begin at the birthplace of the dream...The Magic Kingdom.

We began the day with a leisurely boat ride over to meet our family.

It is cliched, it is inconceivable: but the place truly transforms you.

It is a place where you remember the dreams that lay forgotten in the panting breath of your childhood...where, if even just for a moment, you can taste the sweetness of life without tempering it with the bitter zest of adulthood.

There was loads of silliness...

And even more "togetherness"....

And there were teacups....

Oh my were there teacups!

Sometimes we traveled in a pack....

And sometimes we traveled in twos...

There were family rides...
And rides that required periods of extensive recovery (and some Rolaids)
And there were snacks...delicious slices of time when we settled into fits of laughter and conversations, reminding us that the magic in our kingdom is created by one another. It is found in our stories, in our history, and in creating new memories for our future.
And as the Florida sun set on a wonderful day, the park glowed golden hues and seemed to reflect all of our hopes and wishes into the heavens. Will they all come true? Who can tell...but that day they did, and that was really all that mattered.
